Nashville, Tenn. (February 15, 2013) - Fans of MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Tedashii, Kutless, Family Force 5, Luminate, Adam Cappa, Rhett Walker Band and Tim Timmons can play a special role in the filming and production of a new documentary that features a behind-the-scenes look at The Rock & Worship Roadshow.
Roadshow - The Film, sponsored by Grand Canyon University, will reveal a story of self-sacrifice, hard work and, most importantly, a group of people coming together to be part of something bigger than themselves. By pledging money to support the project, fans play an integral part in the creation of the documentary, as well as receive a variety of special rewards.
"From catering to lighting rigs, audio load in and life on a bus, it takes a village to pull everything together for an artist to walk on stage and put on an amazing show for the fans," producer Ryan Smith says. "We are thrilled to be putting together this feature-length documentary that will give a behind-the-scenes look at a major tour."
Roadshow - The Film is being filmed in 20 cities, including Dallas, TX today, February 15 by a crew helmed by producers Brody Harper and Ryan Slaughter of Two Seven Two Media, Ryan Smith of MountView Creative and director Matt Underwood. (See full tour venue list below.) The film will premier this fall on the Grand Canyon University campus in Phoenix, Ariz.

"Tours happen all over the world and most people have no idea the hoops that were jumped through to make them happen," Harper says. "From bus problems to weather, there are hundreds of things that can shut down a concert, but it takes a great group of artists and crew to make it happen. We hope to capture some of that process and let people see more than just what goes on on stage."
Fans can back the film through Kickstarter, an easy-to-use creative project funding platform, with any pledge of $1 to $10,000 by visiting RoadshowFilm.com. Supporters will receive special rewards for their contributions, including:

How does Kickstarter work? Thousands of creative projects are currently being funded through Kickstarter. Each project is independently created and crafted by the person behind it. The filmmakers, musicians, artists and designers on Kickstarter have complete control and responsibility over their projects. They build their project pages, shoot their videos, and determine what rewards to offer to their backers. They then launch their project and share it with the community.
Each project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to help make it happen. Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged.
